Lifestage Sunday School Teacher’s Meeting November 1st, 2015
Brief Outreach Update
I will take some time during this meeting to meet with your class briefly do discuss the outcomes of your sweetheart list. These are some of the things I am looking for:
Sunday School Canvassing Competition
I am proud to announce that the winners of our Open House Canvassing competition were the Sure Foundations Class. They distributed an average of 345 tracts per person in the class during the campaign.
Changed Into His Image Curriculum
Please plan on teaching through this with your class once you have completed your current lesson series. You may each take a book. If you already have this book feel free to take one to give away.
Discipleship
Wonderful things are happening Wednesday evenings during church. Last month we started a 14 week one-on-one discipleship program for young Christians. There are currently 7 groups meeting, connecting, and growing. Please help us identify individuals who need to and could commit to discipleship. We are looking for both students and teachers (not necessarily Sunday School teachers).
Activities Are Good For Your Class
I know we have a lot going on this month and next, but this has to do with how we approach and think about activities. Pastor would like for us to be deliberate about developing charity in our classes. That is accomplished by two things:
Activities that result in meaningful recreational fellowship
Individuals feeling warm and welcome when they come to class
Grow In the Word Emphasis
Identify and personally invite individuals in your class who need to take the next step in their commitment to church attendance.
Write a card
Send a text
Make a visit
Be actively working to lead your class to faithful church membership.
Upcoming Events
Veterans Day Service
We will be honoring our veterans next Sunday. If you know of someone who has been deployed or will be deployed please let us know so we can honor them. We will be giving a gift to all of our active duty service members as well as providing a meal for all veterans.
Thanksgiving Service
We will have a thanksgiving service Tuesday November 24th at 7 pm.
Turkey Bowl
We will hold a men’s flag football tournament at Tobin Park Thanksgiving morning at 8:00 am. Sign-up sheets are at the Guest Services Desk.

- They are interested in baptism/membership.
- I had an opportunity to share the gospel /ask the eternal question.
- Not interested in any more visits.

Meeting goals for Outreach director:
- Evaluate and develop a follow-up plan for the next month
- Prior visits that need further attention
- New visits that need attention
- Remember to look for prospects in the services.
- Work your sweetheart list
Meeting goals for Inreach director:
- Help identify and meet the needs within the classroom: absentees, significant illnesses, new births, families that need help moving, major life events.
- This includes organizing meals or other efforts to care for the members of the class.
- Use the absentee list and the roll sheets provided to evaluate anyone who needs attention.
